Brief description:

CEED Kosovo is executing  four different contracts under the EYE project to stimulate youth employment and development of private sector.

1. CEED Kosovo has conducted a pilot project “Human Resource Organization within Business in Kosovo” CEED has assessed 30 lead firms  in Kosovo and 5 HR consultancy firms/consultants. Through the Needs Assessment we have identified and analyzed human capital needs within chosen organizations, company growth strategies, organizational development with emphasis on human resource relations, and labor market issues.  As a result, we have drafted a report with  findings and recommendations drawn from the Needs Assessment of the lead firms and HR consultancy firms.

2. CEED Kosovo co-facilitated the launch of the Human Capital Development Initiative (HCDI).  HCDI was launched as a way to address both the lack of demand for human capital development as well as the lack of supply of HR services. The program consists of two segments. The first segment is catered to the needs of lead firms and is made up of 6 interactive workshops, an in-company diagnostic service, and an in-house consultancy service. The second segment is catered to the needs of local consulting firms and consultants.

3. CEED Kosovo is conducting a needs assessment to identify major employers in the Prishtina region, to assist the Prishtina Careet Counseling Center to place youth in internship programs.

4. CEED Kosovo is carrying out several activities for successful facilitation of entry / expansion of Companies into the business service market, and to tackle the core constrains related to business service market.  The activities will showcase inspiring business leaders in Kosovo and in the region; speed dating activities for entrepreneurs to meet Business Service Providers with a track record of success. The implementation of this intervention by CEED follows the Market System Development approach, whereby development interventions are guided by high quality and continuous analysis which feeds into the design of strategies and action plans.
