Main results of the project were:
Two (2) Surveys were conducted in municipalities of Prizren and Rahovec/Orahovac with total 522 respondent. Respondents from 1st survey 257 and from the 2nd was 265. Respondents were form local government institutions, students and farmers of these two respective municipalities.
Climate Change Public Awareness Campaign were conducted, where different activities were implemented, including preparing of booklet for increasing awareness about climate changes: “Ndryshimet Klimatike ne Kosove, Informohu dhe Vepro”. TV ad/video commercial was prepared. The ad was broadcasted on TV 189 times. Specialized TV program with experts from AKEREE providing information on Climate Change issues was conducted and broadcasted 4 times on the local TV channel (Opinion TV). The Facebook page was updated regularly on project activities and Climate Change news, collecting more than 65.000 clicks on any of page content; 165.000 impressions seen of any content associated with the Page posts; 2.500 views of the video promotion on Facebook and Youtube (reached 8.000).
Workshops were conducted in two municipalities: 1 workshop in Prizren, and 1 in Rahovec/Orahovac municipality with total 93 participants.
Two demonstration projects were conducted: Forest Protection Demonstration Project and Water Conservation Demonstration Project
During the Forest Protection Demonstration Project 8,100 (eight thousand and one hundred) trees were planted in Sharri mountains. Meetings with relevant stakeholders from central and local government orginized. MoU’s signed with the Kosovo Forestry Agency and Municipal Employment Centre in order they provide 10 jobseekers for planting the seedlings. Field Day for Forest Protection Demonstration Project was conducted and 38 participants were present (29 Male and 9 Female).
The aim of the Water Conservation Demonstration Project was to increase agricultural productivity and management of agricultural land in order to increase the value of the land. Field Day for Water Conservation Demonstration project was organized where present were 42 participants with 38 Male and 4 Female participants.
