USAID YEP supported young entrepreneurs to develop new businesses by encouraging innovative ideas and the entrepreneurial spirit among young Kosovars through financial and technical assistance. 

CEED Kosovo to identify viable businesses, in order to provide financial support, it has conducted a Needs Assessment Survey to 120 businesses in 7 municipalities of Kosovo. After the Needs Assessment Survey, the gaps and challenges have been identified in the Business Plans.  In order to eliminate the gaps and better develop the business plans CEED Kosovo provided professional consulting/coaching/mentoring services to 57 participants in marketing, finance, product development, market analysis, management, and production processes.

As a final stage of the program, the candidates are trained on their presenting abilities, to be well prepared when in front of grant committee.

  • Establish Farmers Market in Prishtina

    The overall objective of the action is to contribute to the improvement of overall economic development conditions in ERC and Kosovo through engagement of local agricultural businesses and farmers to reach regional markets, increase their market share, grow their assortment of products, create new job opportunities and stimulate import substitution. In addition, the action seeks to improve supplier and value chain by setting up the farmers market aiming at promoting local products; and, to re-vitalise rural economy in region Centre and other Kosovo regions by creating new job opportunities, particularly for young farmers in order to reduce unemployment, alleviate poverty and reduce migration.

  • Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development

    The objectives of this project is to: catalyze entrepreneurial growth by providing entrepreneurs the practical capacity building training they need to take their SMEs ‘to the next level’; to create and build an entrepreneur community (local &regional) by providing a real and ultimately virtual networking platform that help entrepreneurs make ‘connections’ with ‘peer’ entrepreneurs who assume similar risks; to provide mentoring services in fields of finance, marketing, management, operational, etc. Enable access to finance by helping position the entrepreneur and his/her capital, then connecting them with providers. Provide international market access by conducting bi -lateral and regional meetings of like-minded entrepreneurs, and personally help multinational entrepreneurs find the partners and customers they need to expand.
