Brief Description

This project aims to strengthen the competitiveness and long-term growth of MSMEs in Kosovo through mentorship, leadership development, and HR capacity building. The initiative focuses on improving employee retention, strengthening internal company systems, and supporting sustainable business growth.

Building on CEED Kosovo’s experience in private sector development, the project combines mentorship programs, consultancy support, digital solutions, and peer-learning opportunities for businesses in Kosovo.

Main Activities

Company Diagnostics

Assessment of company growth strategies, HR systems, mentorship readiness, and employee retention practices.

Upgrade of CEED’s Digital Mentorship Platform

Development of a mentorship matchmaking and networking platform with mentor–mentee matching, HR tracking, communication tools, learning resources, analytics, and multilingual support.

Workshops and Peer2Peer Sessions

Organization of workshops and exchange sessions focused on leadership, mentorship, HR management, and business growth.

In-Company Consultancy

Tailored consultancy support for improving mentorship systems, HR processes, employee development, and organizational growth.

Exchange Visits and International Exposure

Learning visits and exposure to regional and international mentorship and HR development models.

Expected Results

The project aims to improve leadership capacity, strengthen HR systems, increase employee engagement, promote business collaboration, and enhance MSME competitiveness. At least 20 MSMEs are expected to directly benefit from the project.

Sustainability

CEED Kosovo plans to continue developing the mentorship platform as a long-term service for businesses interested in workforce development and structured mentorship programs.

CEED Kosovo has more than 15 years of experience supporting entrepreneurship, leadership development, and private sector growth through donor-supported initiatives and collaborations with international partners.

  • Support Services for LuxAid Private Sector Engagement Funds

    This project supports the implementation of the LuxAid private sector engagement funds in Kosovo by strengthening outreach, proposal evaluation, entrepreneur support, and pitching preparation for businesses applying to the LuxAid Challenge Fund (LCF) and LuxAid Demonstration Fund (LDF).

    Through its experience in entrepreneurship development, mentoring, and SME support, CEED Kosovo will provide technical and operational support throughout the call for proposals process, helping businesses prepare stronger applications and investment-ready presentations.

  • Establish Farmers Market in Prishtina

    The overall objective of the action is to contribute to the improvement of overall economic development conditions in ERC and Kosovo through engagement of local agricultural businesses and farmers to reach regional markets, increase their market share, grow their assortment of products, create new job opportunities and stimulate import substitution. In addition, the action seeks to improve supplier and value chain by setting up the farmers market aiming at promoting local products; and, to re-vitalise rural economy in region Centre and other Kosovo regions by creating new job opportunities, particularly for young farmers in order to reduce unemployment, alleviate poverty and reduce migration.
